Our mission at the Spectrum Quarter Horse Farm is to raise great athletic foals with the disposition, conformation and color to match. We don't breed for quantity but for quality. We have two Quarter Horse brood mares. Our palomino stallion is Magnolia Cutter Bar. He and our mares both contribute good calm minds on our foals. The resulting coat colors have been palomino, buttermilk buckskin, grulla, dark buckskin, cremello, dark chestnut and dun. Our foals have made their homes from the east coast to the west coast of the USA, Germany & Canada.
A Christain family, we're located 65 miles north of North Little Rock, AR., outside the small town of Bradford. We worship at the Bradford Church of God. Our son Zach plays his guitar and helps with the Praise and Worship at the church. Myself an artist besides running and training at the farm does mission work with the horses and give lessons. My husband, Kenny works for Union Pacific Railroad when he's not working at the farm.
I'm Susan Gillikin Anschultz originating from the Coast of North Carolina has always loved horses. My mother Sylvia Rose Gillikin has always said, "Horse had to be my first word!" The Coast not really heavily populated with domestic horses like here in Arkansas, does have wild horses called Shackleford Banks Ponies. You know you're horse crazy when your first horse is a "Banks Pony" and it doesn't change your mind about horses. Well they are wild! But I was determined to have a horse, wild or not!
In January 1989 I married my best friend and in January 1991 our son Zach was born. I feel I'm living my dream. What more can a person ask for, Love of God, wonderful family, my dogs and my horses?
